and they were just seen as that too. metal bands dressed like women in the gym too. hence why i find it funny that a great majority of homophobes (macho man is still a thing here) like the artists. no one ever told them...or...i dunno. it's nonsensical

machos seem to be generally more accepting of the gays as long as they are on stage.
