I don't know what I was listening to, but whatever it was, Spotify kept generating plays from Mechanical Animals. I haven't really listened to the album since it came out but it was always one of my favourite Maonson albums. that opinion has not changed to this day. MA is the superior Manson album and everything else is just absolute trash.

Change my mind.

I'm a little edge lord still and want TGAoG on cassette. But it's expensive so I'll prolly just make a bootleg version lol. I won't argue that it's better than MA but I *like* it better :hmph

MA was that album i never got into untill i tried coke for the first time. it was like "wow, i get it now, even with the super compressed mixing, this is awesome"

I always felt the mixing was an intentionalnal stylistic thing. But also MP3 players were all the rage at the time hmm

it was a big change for them because they changed producers. trent reznor was the producer before that and it shows. the following albums have the same over compressed mixing that sometimes works, others don't. for what it's worth, manson has made a huge comeback and his 2 latest albums are absolutely awesome

What are your top picks from Heaven Upside Down? At some point tomorrow I might even just take some time to chill out, like some sort of student and just lay on my bed and listen to the album. ATM I've got it on but I'm working and not really hearing it. It SOUNDS good though.

all of it is good, but kill for me doesn't quite do it for me, maybe that's because i saw it live and found it boring, even though there were strippers during that song :lol
