What are you spinning a lot of ATM?
One of the cool things about Spotify is that I can see stuff I've been playing a lot. It's mostly dominated by stuff on my Synthwave/pop/future/ and Collection playlist. I think I put the synth onet on almost every day when I get up.
Makeup And Vanity Set
Glass Apple Bonzai (purely for Suicide, You And I)
Scheuber
Scandroid
Wolfsheim
Binary Park
Empathy Test
Dubmood
Korine
The Anix
VNV Nation
Perturbator
FLA
Radiohead
ohGr
Dead When I Found Her
Chemlab
Duran Duran
Binary Park

I don't know if I've become a lot less critical about the music I listen to, or if I've just found shit loads of good music. I feel like I've never listened to such diversity of stuff.
I'm still playing a lot of classical and neoclassical. Chopin has been my cycling companion lately.

if you're enjoying your experience, what does it matter?
lately for me it's lots of dead can dance, daemonia nymphe, and chillsynth. i usually get on an industrial kick in spring.

Music for enjoyment? Man, young me would have thought this utter heresy. First and foremost music HAS TO BE GOOD. But I think I've relaxed. Same with film and television. Half the stuff I enjoy young me would have just rolled eyes, not this trash again. Such a little snob I was.
You know, I hardly even know Dead Can Dance

Accepting mediocrity is thoroughly liberating

idk i think i'm even more critical now, if anything. but always enjoy discovering new tunes to listen to a dozen times in a row.
i've mostly listened to spleen & ideal, w/i the realm of the dying sun, & the newest one. they're hitting the states soon, but closest venue to me is fcuking detroit.

Come chill with me in mediocrity. There's booze and pizza.
Detroit
Got to admit I actually want to see the place. Especially before they go bulldoze all the ruins. Urban decay is fascinating.

Well. I'm very schizophrenic with my musical taste. It's so chaotic, so I'll just dump my spotify playlists here. Good luck sifting through all of it. ^___________^ I guess my main themes are 80s shit and Electronic............but there's so much variability. Lately, I'm digging EDM and Swedish House Mafia, and 80's/90's funk. But it's still a lot. I love a bunch of shit yo. My music taste is too ADHD for Spotify to identify a common theme, lol.

My god, The Gap Band is so good. I love them, might just dump a bunch of their songs into my "cool music" playlist.

Ugh. I feel so drawn to the energy that Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Cyndi Lauper present. I feel overwhelmed by all this musical awareness. Shit, I need to organize this shit some more.

I just found a lame life hack. Every time there's an ad on Spotify, just close Spotify, and open it up again, and then the ads are gone! lmao.
