This morning I woke up from some nebulous dream or sensory otherplace that was just completely saturated in existential dread. Turns out it was just my homie Trent calling to me across the void from the turn of the century.
It caused something of a temporary existential crisis. Why the fuck am I awake? Why am I going to make coffee and get to work? Why am I alive?
Coffee was the cure. Camus was right. He's right every goddamn morning.

This was one of the first NIN albums I bought. I had lots of rips before then. I think at this point I was still mostly unaware that there was such a thing as industrial music.

Glad to see someone besides me posting in this abortion of a subforum.

It's not an abortion. It just happens to be littered with the corpses of your alts

I think you'll like this playlist I made for you. It's literally all about the inner psyche of your life/ mind.
I feel like I hit the nail on the head in trying to understand you.
I'm not obsessed any more. I just wanted to make you something to complement your personality.

Yeah... I really think that playlist is some strange idea you have about me. Like some of the track titles are on point but it's really not me.

I feel like "oh no" captures your essence out of all the songs on there. You are like this loner that keeps to yourself, yet, deep down, you're kind of full of existential dread, and that song is all about this.

I read them and it's a no, and the delivery is double no. If my life was a movie and you were doing the soundtrack you'd be fired af.

Ah Dead Souls. Not a bad cover. I don't think it can beat the original though.

Its official. You're too enigmatic to figure out.

The warm place exists only in our minds. It's the place made to haunt grim reality.

Starfuckers, Inc.
This is actually one of the first NIN songs I clearly remember hearing, and that's just because it was a fan favourite of the parties our group used to run circa 2k. I also remember later at night when I was usually trashed beyond reason I'd often be weird dancing to the more obscure tracks of that album.
I had zero idea industrial was a thing outside some curious branch of rock. I was too awkward geek to be a cool kid, but I was too concerned with being cool to be a full awkward geek kid.
