i dont have a ritual before getting tattoos.
i do find them relaxing tho. my first tattoo i fell asleep.
only one has hurt so much that i couldnt relax and that was the one on the side of my head/sorta on my neck. felt like my brain was being drilled into while also having the layers of skin repeatedly ripped off and rubbed on. for a moment i wondered if i could go through with it. of course i did tho.

yeah, i have big nipples
most of them i fall sleep too,even in my hand and fingers was smooth. head and neck are hard though, too many nerves and not enough fat to protect you
