Luckily our desk guy just straight up tells people if something is dumb or will look like shit, not to be an arrogant asshole but bc he loves tattooing so much he genuinely wants them to have a nice piece they’ll still be proud of down the line. Works out well for us bc then we don’t hate doing the piece as much.
