Audio test
@nagoline I think the phone does a better job than the webcam, but I don't think it's good enough for instructional videos that are meant for external consumption. What do you think? Which is better, and should I just give up and get a USB microphone?
Oopsies, forgot to link sample http://digisprawl.com/other/test.mp3

Thinking of grabbing this

It'll be shit loads better than either recording option I have ATM. The client's office has a Yeti pro, which does a pretty good job, but there's too much ambient noise out there. My place is much better suited for recording.

Re: Audio test
you can always mess around with an equalizer, but if you have the income go for a proper mic of course

Re: Audio test
That's not the original recording. I used a compressor, filter curves (equaliser), limiter. I attempted to use the equaliser to bring out the bass and punch the highs a bit. I don't really know anything about any of this stuff though.. so
http://digisprawl.com/other/test_raw.mp3 Original from phone. I'll definitely work on my radio voice though.

Re: Audio test
You think so? You mentioned playing with the equaliser. Did you have any specific thoughts?

Re: Audio test
yeah, as long as it's all clear and there's no "noise", it's fine

Re: Audio test
They thought the recording was pretty rad. I recorded it like 5am on an all nighter. I suppose not everyone has the same crippling, unrelenting standards that I have.

Re: Audio test
Thanks for the assist, man. It's good to get feedback from someone that knows audio.
