just looks like retro word salad, but good tune

I really dig the album. Then I go to sing along and realise 1. I don't know the words 2. I'm glad no one else can hear

But here is my reasoning.

Borrowed glove = meat puppet
burn your fingerprint = covert the tracks, digital or otherwise
must have died again = what are meat puppets good for?
buzz/cut/pain/love of undercover = doing what you got to do to get the cover
code breaks = spook action go time
Wake me up line is out of step - what you doing sleeping on the job
a cameo off world - duh shut up and watch the 6
And most of the rest is about the dude's infatuation with his partner interspaced with spook action

the thought crossed my mind that it'd be cool to see some retro music remixed w genuine 80s tunes (as opposed to straight covers). i wonder what's out there

That would be rad to see. I suppose there's a good chance we will see some of that if there is a serious 80s revival, but otherwise, I think all the original assets are under serious lock and key. that reminds me I don't even know what kids are listening to these days. Like obvs all the cool kids are listening to synthwave, but other than that
